How do i get into playing funk. Any certain people I should listen to? Or what chords and scales does funk use, all 7 chords and pentatonic mostly, right?

Try listenin to Sly & The Family Stone, they make some serious funk & soul. I also like to listen to soul guitarists like Steve Cropper from Booker T & The MGs because soul guitar ties in nicely with funk.
